Boris Paal is the Professor of Civil and Information Law, Data and Media Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Leipzig, Germany. He researches and teaches, advises and publishes in all areas of Private and Business Law with a special focus on Data Protection, Competition, Media, and Information Law as well as on Compliance. As an author and editor (among others of Gersdorf/Paal on Information and Media Law, and Paal/Pauly on the GDPR) he is responsible for more than 150 publications in the aforementioned domains. He regularly lectures on his fields of research and serves as an expert consultant to state institutions and private entities. He is also a visiting researcher to several eminent international universities and regularly undertakesguest lectureships abroad.
