Marcel Kuehlert joined the law firm Nikol & Goetz as an Associate in January 2024. He advises the clients of the firm on all data protection related matters.
Prior to joining Nikol & Goetz, Marcel studied law at the Leibniz University in Hanover. This is also where he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a focus on Information Technology Law and Intellectual Property Law. During his LL.M., he chose Data Protection Law, eCommerce Law and Media Law as a particular study focus and addressed a data protection related topic in his master thesis. As part of his studies, he also spent two semesters at the University of Lapland (Finland) and one semester at KU Leuven / Campus Brussels (Belgium).
Marcel completed his legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe. During the time of his legal clerkship, he also worked as a research assistant of Nikol & Goetz.
