Diana Elena Zafred joined the law firm Nikol & Goetz in October 2024. She is admitted to the bar in Romania (“Avocat”) and a member of the Bar Association Freiburg (Germany) and the Bar Association Sibiu (Romania). Diana advises the clients of the firm on German, Romanian and European data protection law.

Prior to joining Nikol & Goetz she practised for five years as Avocat in Romania where she mainly advised entrepreneurs and investors from Germany and Austria entering the Eastern-European market. Afterwards she worked for several years in boutique law firms in Manchester and Sheffield (United Kingdom).

Diana holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a focus on Private Law from the Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Romania). As part of her studies, she spent one semester at the University of Graz (Austria). She also took part in several international legal training programs, e.g. at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster (Germany), at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Germany), The Hague Academy of International Law (Netherlands) and the Academy of European Law in Trier (Germany).
